What is the aim of World Teachers Day? Its main aim is to celebrate, acknowledging and improving the work of the world’s best teachers and to provide a forum for discussion on the issues raised by the education system and with teachers themselves. Although many may question the validity of such an event, it is true that there are many who appreciate the role of the education system in society. Teachers are considered to be one of the pillars of educational excellence and it is our hope that more resources and awareness will be created to recognise the critical importance of teachers in educating our youth. World Teachers Day takes this message into even the most remote corners of the world, allowing us to showcase the work and dedication of the best in education.

 

Since 1994, the World Teachers Day has been organised by UNESCO and aims to celebrate the work and commitment of the teachers all over the world. Teachers from all over the globe have come together to affirm their commitment to education and provide support to those in need. This year promises to be an important one as the assembly of world teachers under the umbrella of UNESCO convenes in Morocco. For many educators, this World Teachers Day represents a welcome break from the routine and stress that education brings. UNESCO has stressed the need for unity in teaching under the banner that “one teacher, one student” is the cornerstone of a sound education system.

 

In Morocco, the World Teachers Day celebrations take place at various venues. At Sidi Ahmed el Moneed, there are a Celebration with live music, crafts and games, as well as information about the conference and background of its inception. There is also a special presentation of short documentaries focusing on different areas of education. These videos highlight some of the work done by teachers around the world, including projects, trainings, interventions and evaluations that were made in various disciplines over a period of time. UNESCO has also put forward educational activities that will be held in various countries throughout the world, including Morocco and the United States.

 

UNESCO also revealed that this year’s World Teachers Day theme is” educator as citizen”. In keeping with this theme, there are numerous activities planned to mark the World Teachers Day. The United Nations Organization for Education (OFE) is planning a Teachers Day celebration in Morocco during the month of October. At the same time, there are numerous organizations, like UNESCO, that are organizing” Teacher Days” and” Teacher Conferences” throughout the world in order to strengthen the education system and bring attention to the profession and its value. World Teachers Day is celebrated on the 6th day of October every year.

 

The theme of this year’s World Teachers Day is” educator as citizen”. UNESCO is planning a Teachers Day celebration in Morocco during October. At the same time, there are numerous other organizations, like the United Nations Organization for Education (UNESCO), that are planning a number of activities that will be held in various countries across the world in order to strengthen the education system and bring attention to the profession and its value. World Teachers Day is observed in many countries throughout the world. For example, in Morocco, on the 6th of October, there will be a Teachers Day celebrations in different cities of Morocco with a special program on child education.

 

Other countries celebrate World Teachers Day on the first Tuesday of the month of October. On the first Tuesday of this month, educators from all over the world will gather in front of their school to present their report cards and discuss how children’s education is progressing. They will conclude their activities with a workshop in which they will be able to share information about their profession with other people. World Teachers Day is celebrated in many countries throughout the world.
