Debbie Messing is an American actor. After graduating from New York University`s Tisch School of the Arts, Messing only received small-ish roles on TV shows including Ned and Stacey on Fox and Prey at ABC. For her role in The Thin Red Line she had to travel across the world for her first acting job. She arrived in New York City and was in line to star opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in the crime thriller Traffic. While filming her first film, she managed to land a small role in the movie rendition of Moby Dick. The success of her role paved the way for more major roles in which she appeared in such as Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and The Pursuit of Happyness. In the TV series M.A.S.H. she featured as a love interest for Mark Walhberg’s character, forcing him into love with her.
After M.A.S.H. ended Debra Messing went on to star in the hit movie Dirty Sexy Money, in which she starred alongside Michael Douglas, Dan Aykroyd, and Denholm Elliott. Despite its risque content it did well at the box office and was one of the year’s most successful films. The next film to feature Debra Messing was the crime drama Confessing Girl, in which she played a divorcing wife accused of being involved in an affair with a fellow officer. The film became a box office smash, not only in New York but throughout the USA. Its sequel, The Fall, went on to become a number one film in Canada and the UK.
