Vivica A. Fox is an American entertainer, actress, and television personality. She was born in Harlem, New York and was a foster child of emotionally abusive parents. She has since gone on to have various roles in television and movies. Her most famous role would be that of Fox’s mother in the animated series Family Guy. Prior to that, she had small parts in movies such as High School Confidential and Diner. In the film Diner, she plays the first female bartender.

She lso appeared in the first Sharknado movie. As one of the main characters, she is a high school girl that works in a carnival as a clown and shark nado. She was also featured in the second film of the series as a pregnant woman, which puts her in an entirely new set of circumstances. This role would prove to be quite controversial in Brazil, where the actress was criticized for receiving benefits from shark Bite during the filming of the film.
Vivica A. Fox was also nominated for an Academy Award for her performance as Elizabeth, a young girl in the TV drama series Falling.
