Laura Pausini is an Italian pop singer and television personality known for her humorous lyrics and music. As a young girl, she was inspired by her family’s tradition of coming together at family gatherings to sing. After winning several local singing competitions, Pausini signed first her first record contract with Joanna White, who had managed to get her album “Laura Pausini and Lee Scarr”.
Laura Pausini grew up in Verona, Italy, where her musical influences would come from the classical music that was played both at home and in the local theaters. She was inspired to take up the piano when she realized that she enjoyed hearing classical music given to her in Italian. She pursued this passion throughout her life. As a teen, Laura often performed at local country fairs as well as jazz festivals.
In the late 1970s, Laura began working as a singer and composer in the Italian music scene. She received her first demo for a song called “Caribbean”, which did not go well. It was not until she moved to New York City that she began to receive notice. Some of the music she made was not fit for mainstream distribution. However, Laura still managed to release an album titled “Laura Pausini – Nonesuch Volumes” in 1998. Her career was short-lived due to the birth of her daughter.

Laura Pausini began writing songs for her children in the late 1980s. These songs helped to provide the basis for a feature length film of the same name. The film became a critical and commercial hit, which resulted in the making of several further movies, including “La Dolce Vita” and “The Perfect Score”. The film’s soundtrack also became a number 1 hit and remains one of the best-selling CDs of all time. Laura Pausini died of natural causes, however the film was not.
Laura Pausini was known for her creativity and innovation on the piano. A lover of musical theater, Laura also enjoyed writing music and performing. As a pianist, Laura was known for being innovative in composition and arranging for solo piano performances. She wrote operas, romantic pieces and duets with composers. She was also an accomplished guitarist, often playing lead for other artists.
Laura Pausini is remembered today as a great piano player and songwriter, who leave us with many fond memories of her work. Her piano music will live on through her son and her music legacy. Her musical compositions will be enjoyed and remembered by generations to come. Her death however only left her fans with more to remember and admire from her many films and stage appearances.
