Jess Glynne was brought up in Barnes in south-west London. Her father was a talented illustrator and jingle writer who gave her the chance to develop an adventurous imagination which would later find expression in writing. Jess became known as Jin Kim in her early years. Her career spanned four decades, starting off as a member of a group called Ginger Tree with boyfriend Rob Bailey before going solo in the late seventies. Jess Glynne began a twelve-year publishing contract with Icon Music in Augrett 2021. It was this publishing deal that catapulted Jess Glynne into a world of her own.
After publishing her first book, Jess Glynne decided to launch her own imprint, Jess Glynne & Co, so that she could take control of her career and image. She signed a seven-year publishing deal with Icon Music, the largest UK publisher, and launched Jess Glynne & The Delightful Thieves, a series of photo book and music course projects. It was during this time that Jess Glynne developed her unique style of singing, drawing and painting. Her first major break came in the form of the track listing project Ginger Tree, which she performed on behalf of Icon Music, whilst concurrently appearing as a featured solo artist on the ARI UK show. This show saw Jess Glynne square off against former One Republic star James King, with the pair coming top of the poll for the best performing artists. Later on, King would go back to Jess Glynne, signing to her again.

Jess Glynne returns to the spotlight in the latest series of the X Factor, hosted by Simon Cowell. Jess Glynne comes back to the show following the recent graduation of her two children from the ages of five and eight. Jess has also gained considerable weight, thanks to her love of dancing. She successfully manages to shed off the excess weight without having to give up her love of dance music. She is now one of the few British comedians to have featured on both the reality TV show, and the annual X Factor show, which she first appeared on back in 2021.
Jess Glynne first made an appearance on the reality TV show, when she was quizzed about her choice of music for her X Factor audition. She performed a cover of David Gray’s song, Reach for the Sky, which was a big hit in the early nineties. In between her appearances on TV, Jess has also found time to develop her acting skills, playing a leading role in a movie adaptation of the book Pride and Prejudice, as well as featuring in the movie The Wolf of Wall Street. Jess Glynne also loves to sing, and she was recently seen recording with The Arctic Rescue, alongside James Blunt and Jason Orange.
