Behati Prinsloo is an African-American model from Port Charlotte, Florida. Born in Staten Island, she is fluent in both English and Afrikaans. She worked as a traveling models for Calvin Klein, Cover Girl, Cia Maxx, and Victoria’s Secret. She joined the cast of “So You Think You Can Dance” before filming the film “My Life On The Beach.” Behati eventually went on to be a Pink Label contract model for Calvin Klein, Cover Girl, and Cia Maxx.
In 2021, Behati Prinsloo became an exclusive cover model for Victoria’s Secret. After that, she moved on to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel, and has walked twice in nine straight Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She was also a finalist in the 2021 CFDA Fashion Design Awards. Later that year, she gave birth to her first child, daughter Skylar, whom she had already been pregnant with while still working as a Victoria’s Secret model.
As mentioned above, Behati first became a world famous fashion model when she appeared on the CFDA Fashion Show’s “Runway” in 2021. She was also a finalist on the “Bravissimo” collection. Behati impressed the judges with her unique sense of style. She became known to the world through her appearances on the television show “So You Think You Can Dance.” Behati spent a few years modeling for different South African clothing and fashion companies.
Behati then decided to move to Cape Town, South Africa where she pursued her acting career. In 2021, Behati released her first memoir, “The Princess ofapo,” which was published blithely Bemz Worldwide. The book chronicles Behati’s travels and experiences in South Africa and her love for the country. Through the story of her childhood in south Africa and her time there as an actress, Behati shares her views on culture, society, beauty, fashion, and much more. Behati’s most recent project was her involvement with the campaign mausoleum, which was done in partnership with Marc Jacobs, founder of Marc Jacobs and Marc Lipchin. The project was commissioned by MIO and was designed to honor Behati’s South African roots. The campaign successfully raised millions of dollars for the charity. Behati, along with Marc Jacobs, was also profited from the venture.
Behati Prinsloo’s writing has also appeared in a number of different publications including Namibia Times, SA Flavor, and elsewhere. She currently serves as the editor-in-chief of Namibian Times.
