Anahi Lapenta is one of the rising stars in the Mexican telenovela genre. She has been featured in several award-winning shows and has also gained notice for her work as an actress in feature films. Her most recent film “Anini” which was released in 2021, earned her a second nomination for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She is also an accomplished dancer and singer.
Anahi was born in Mexico City, Mexico, the daughter of parents who were originally from the state of Hidalgo. Growing up, Anahi would learn her English from her father who was also fluent in Spanish and taught her the language. Anahi first appeared on the small screen in the early 1980s in the TV sitcom “Chiquillas” on Televisa.
