Kathy Bates is a legendary American actress and singer. She was the recipient of many accolades, which included an Academy Award, two Academy Awards, a Screenplay Oscar, and two Golden Globe Awards, as well as many other awards. Additionally, she was named one of the 50 greatest actresses of all time by Entertainment Tonight. She is one of the co-chairs of the boards of directors of both the Disney studio and Pixar. She is most famous for her portrayal of the character Ginger Aldrich in the Ginger Aldrich film series.
Kathy Bates was born in Mississippi. She is best known for her roles as the mother in the movie “Lennaissance”, as the sister in the movie “All about Eve”, as the daughter in the movie “Sidious”, and as the girlfriend in the movie “Pulp Fiction”. Additionally, she played the character of Rose in the television series “ER”. Additionally, her stage credits include appearing in the musical revue “The Nutcracker” and in the movie “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. As an actress, Kathy Bates has also appeared in such movies as “The Secret”, “Dangerous” and “Gaslight”.
During the 1970’s, Kathy Bates was nominated for a Golden Globe award for her performance in the television drama “MacGyver” and for her work on the television series “Doomsday Preppers”. After her Broadway and film acting career, Kathy Bates ventured into the world of television, playing different characters in a number of popular shows. Her notable roles include recurring characters in the series “The Addam’s Family” and “That 70s Show” as Dr. Finkelstein, among many others. There are a number of different characterisations that have been made for her, including the cynical professor in the series “That 70s Show” and the hapless secretary to a rather more glamorous person in the movie version of the same show.
