Sarah Michelle Gellar is an American actor, writer, and producer. After being discovered at the young age of just four in New York City, where she starred in the very first produced-for-television movie ever made, she quickly made her professional acting debut in the highly acclaimed made-for-tv movie An Invasion of Privacy later that year. Although the movie failed to attract audiences of the Hollywood blockbuster variety, it did garner a bit of a cult following due to Ms. Gellar’s powerful and beautiful screen presence. The success of An Invasion of Privacy catapulted her into Hollywood stardom, and she has been in a constant state of work on stage, in movies, and in various other media ever since.

The vampire slayer who was left for dead after a car accident becomes a wanted figure after escaping from a mental institution. After successfully being rescued from the clutches of the Vampire scourge, Sarah Michelle Geller turned down the offers of various Hollywood movies and projects in order to concentrate on her acting career. As a result, she only has two films in her repertoire, the first of which was the lead role of Alice in the Wonderland film franchise. However, after the success of Alice, Sarah Michelle Gellar was offered the chance to star as the title character in the television series, Vampire Diaries.
In this TV series, Sarah Michelle Gellar plays the role of Lily Potter, who is a young girl who was raised by wizards during the early years of the twentieth century. Following her parents’ death, Lily is taken in by an ancient wizard (played by Billie Piper) and begins a quest to find her family’s home where her real father (Kevin Dunn) still resides. Lily soon finds out that the wizard is hiding something from her, as he tells her that her current husband (Glen Hamilton) was once a practitioner of black magic. Lily subsequently flees from the house before becoming caught by a Vampire hunter named Richard. Following her capture, Lily is given a blood sample by Richard which contains a magical ingredient that when combined with her natural magic allows her to transform herself into a powerful and formidable vampire who will fight against any and all vampires throughout the ages.
In the second season of the television series, Sarah Michelle Geller returns as the main character of the Vampire Diaries. She reprises her role as the strong and silent heroine battling against evil throughout seasons 1 and 2. This past summer saw the release of the third season of the vampire slayer, and as fans wait for its release we will find out what happens to Sarah Michelle Geller in the coming episodes.
