Hilary Duff was born in segregated West Chester, Pennsylvania. Her parents were both teachers. As a child, she learned how to stage and sing, which led her to become one of the country’s more popular children’s entertainers. From a very early age, Hilary learned to stand up for herself and speak out against people who did not treat her with respect.
Hilary is known for her many talents, such as being one of only female lead characters in a popular Disney Channel show, Fairly Odd Parents, as well as being a contestant on the hit television show “Dancing with the Stars”. Hilary also went to college to study drama but did not pursue this as she felt it did not suit her. Instead, she worked in her mother’s jewellery shop and honed her skills working with jewelry and fashion design. After several years in the jewelry shop, Hilary decided to get into acting, playing the role of Rachel Berry on the Disney Channel’s series Smallville. She also appeared in an episode of Californians, though her part on that show was very brief.
After her short stint on Smallville, Hilary moved on to play the role of Elizabeth on the hugely popular television show, Lost. She was also recognized for her starring role on the second season of America’s Next Top Model, where she was a runner up for the lead role. Following the end of the show, Hilary continued on with several more episodes of CSI, All About Spy, and finally ended up playing the lead role in the highly popular series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In all of these shows, Hilary played the role of a competent and capable medical professional, yet always manages to find herself in a precarious situation. On each show, she proves to be the smartest and most resourceful person in the show.

One of the first shows that star Hilary Duff that I had the pleasure of watching was the one-day wonder, MC Giunta. This show is a spin off of the hit Disney Channel series, The Real World. What is great about this show is that it features a number of celebrity guests such as Hilary Duff, Matt Damon, Edward Herrmann, Whoopi Goldberg, Christopher Walken, and more. While this show may not seem that entertaining, it does a fantastic job at telling the story of one day in the life of the famous women on this show.
Another show that I had the pleasure of watching, was called; The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. This show is about seven housewives living in a home. What makes this show different from the others is that each of the women takes on a different personality. What makes it great is that each character feels like an actual person, with their own thoughts, feelings, and emotions. The acting is excellent and the entire housewives are like real people.
