Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson, better known professionally by her name Tove Lo, is an award-winning singer and songwriter, whose career has spanned parts of four decades. She is best known for her eclectic, raw, and noisy take on popular music. Born in Ikea, Stockholm, Sweden, she first gained attention as a teenager playing the role of Fergie in a music video. Since then, I’ve Lo has gone on to become one of the most successful female artists of all time.
Tove Lo has said that her musical influences include the likes of Patti LaBelle, the Isley Brothers, Elvis, the Rolling Stones, and the Beastie Boys. She is also very fond of the works of Janis Martin, the Beach Boys, and the Nils Envy. She has said that her favorite genres are folk, pop, and classical. Her music has featured in some of the more memorable music videos of the past several years, including Live All Night, I Remember You, and I’m a Believer. She has also made several live appearances throughout the United States, including a performance at the MTV awards in 2021.
Tove Lo grew up in a modest home in rural Norrkrant, a village in the municipality of Hverkelingen, within the vicinity of the Skogba River in southern Sweden. Her parents were both teachers, and she spent her early years learning to play the guitar from her father. At the age of eighteen, Tove Lo began to focus on her career as a singer, songwriter, and actress. Her first professional recording was a demo for a band called Kungsles, which surfaced in 1969.

She has also won two Grammies, as well as being nominated multiple times for the Academy Awards’ best actress award. The Grammies honor individuals who have accomplished major contributions to the music industry and Tove Lo’s numerous awards and accolades continue to reflect this. Tove Lo has also gained much popularity as a director and producer. Her first two movies that were released during the 2021 year were Warrior (Movie: Lord of the Rings) and The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. In the film, she played the role of Aragorn, the most prominent and beloved member of the fellowship of the Ring.
Regarding Tove Lo’s personal life, much of which has been reported in the media, there is little to report. Tove Lo is married to fellow actor Michael Fassbender, and they have four children together. They wed in 2021 and have two more children. Tove Lo does have a past relationship with Jennifer Aniston, which occurred while the two were attending college at the University of Southern California, and it was publicly revealed in the gossip magazine The Hollywood Gossip.
Tove Lo currently resides in Sweden, where she has family and friends. She continues to make music, as well as star in her own singing and acting endeavors. She was recently seen on MTV’s “Love This Life” with Ashlee Simpson and appeared in the documentary The Wild Life ofpinboard. There is no word whether or not she will be able to make any more of an appearance on MTV.
