Sara Gilbert Net Worth, Biography, Body Measurements, Bra Size, Height, Weight

Sara Gilbert was born in segregated neighborhoods in New Jersey in segregated times. Her father was a plumber and her mother was a maid. Sara grew up in what was then called Little Italy in Jersey City. In her youth Sara attended church and participated in activities that raised her awareness of race relations and injustice. She was inspired to become an actress after attending the John Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC

Sara Gilbert began her illustrious acting career in the late seventies on Broadway where she gained both of her acting awards and started to receive critical acclaim for such shows as Hairless Cats, Hello, Lenny, Goodnight, Kiss the Girls, and Seinfeld. Sara Gilbert also appeared in numerous films and TV programs such as F.R.I.E.N.D.S., Swing Vote, Married To: An Interracial Love Story, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, The Perfect Score, A Few Good Men, American Pie, and Boy Meets Girl. It was while working on one of these shows that Sara Gilbert developed her distinctive style of clothing and make-up. Sara was also an active member of the politically motivated left-leaning groups such as the Peace Union, Million Student March, and SNCC. These actions and activities helped to propel Sara Gilbert into the forefront of popular culture.

As the eighties began to draw to a close, Sara Gilbert began to focus more on directing. Her feature directing efforts included Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (based on the novel by Mario Puzo), Eat Pray Love, A Time to Kill, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. She later worked with producer Joel Silver on the romantic musical Heaven is at War, which was a box office smash. Other projects that she was involved with during the eighties were Romance, Swing Vote, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. All of which were produced by her friend and fellow casting associate, Kevin Dunn, who also produced A Time to Kill, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Swing Vote.

When producers had finally completed their film treatments for many of these movies, Sara Gilbert and her friend and fellow co-host, Michael Caine, often stayed behind to help shoot the picture. In the case of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the two remained in the Los Angeles area to assist the director. Michael Caine would often act as the director’s “sideburner,” or second actor, while Sara Gilbert would act as the main actress. This was not a typical setup, but it made for a highly successful film. Once the movie was completed, it was put into post-production, which was supervised by none other than Robert Aldrich Johnson, who was then in charge of the worldwide publicity campaign that would help make Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind a major box office hit.

Once producers began looking for a star to play Johnny Geller, they knew that they needed someone who could do both: look and act. So they cast Sara Gilbert, who had previously played the nerdy secretary in a short film persona called “A Short Films for People Who Love Animals.” Sara also appeared in the later film adaptation of Short Films for People Who Love Animals, called Dog.

In addition to her short films, Sara Gilbert has also appeared on numerous daytime talk shows. She has been a guest host on The Late Night Show and has also hosted The New York Times Live show. Her appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show was also memorable. All of this and more can be seen on the internet. To see some clips about Sara Gilbert and her co-hosts click on the website cited below.
