What is the aim of World Teachers Day? Its main aim is to celebrate, acknowledging and improving the work of the world’s best teachers and to provide a forum for discussion on the issues raised by the education system and with teachers themselves. Although many may question the validity of such an event, it is true that there are many who appreciate the role of the education system in society. Since 1994, the World Teachers Day has been organised by UNESCO and aims to celebrate the work and commitment of the teachers all over the world. Teachers from all over the globe have come together to affirm their commitment to education and provide support to those in need. This year promises to be an important one as the assembly of world teachers under the umbrella of UNESCO convenes in Morocco. For many educators, this World Teachers Day represents a welcome break from the routine and stress that education brings. World Teachers Day is celebrated on the 6th day of October every year.

On the first Tuesday of this month, educators from all over the world will gather in front of their school to present their report cards and discuss how children’s education is progressing. They will conclude their activities with a workshop in which they will be able to share information about their profession with other people.
