BlackBerry Aurora 5G Release Date, Price, Specs, Feature

BlackBerry’s new model, BlackBerry Aurora 5G, is anticipated to get the same high quality and reliability that its predecessors offered. However, it is expected that this model will be coming to this year’s holiday season instead of the previous years because of the expected superior power that this device is packing. This model features a key new feature though, which is BlackBerry’s KeySense. This is an innovative gesture recognition technology that enables users to instantly recognize their most frequently used BlackBerry contacts like their calendar and address book, even if they are not looking at their phones. Other integration features include support for Google Maps, and text messaging options coming to this phone’s text messages as well.

BlackBerry’s latest offering also has one more interesting feature though – augmented reality. This feature allows users to find applications that are currently loaded on the phone’s memory or those that are nearby based on what the user is currently looking at. So, when the person looks up something on their phone such as the address or contact number, it is already loaded into the device’s memory. The result is that when the user taps on the item, they are able to view it in real-time through the BlackBerry’s digital display and instantly find what they were searching for.

This brings us to the cell phone’s other feature that is worth talking about, and that is BlackBerry’s Moxier multitasking feature. This feature allows users to use one application without having to switch to another window. The good thing about this is that it can go on while you are using other applications like browsing the internet, listening to music, or taking photos. However, if you would like to use another application while your phone is performing these tasks, then you can just tap the application switcher on the phone’s virtual keypad and move it to another window. In a nutshell, BlackBerry’s Moxier multitasking works in all kinds of media apps and not just the native BlackBerry platform.

This brings me to my next point, which is security. BlackBerry’s new security platform called BlackBerry Protect allows users to secure their data from afar. With this software, the phone not only comes with its own antivirus program, but users are also able to choose from an array of safety applications that come pre-installed. It is basically a customized version of AVG Antivirus. Users are also able to set up an account with this security software to help monitor their phones for virus or spyware updates.

BlackBerry’s email features are also well thought out. With BlackBerry’s Moxier 3G service, users get a dedicated email client that comes with its own unique features. This phone comes standard with email, contacts, calendar and text functions. The phone also supports BlackBerry Smartphones and BlackBerry enterprise servers. BlackBerry’s email client is a bit basic, but it still offers decent functionality. The mail client also includes the BlackBerry Enterprise Services, which is a feature that helps secure emails and documents as they pass through the mail servers.

The feature that I like best about BlackBerry’s email service is BlackBerry Messaging. BlackBerry Messaging provides similar features and capabilities of email like e-mail, calendaring and instant messengers. The BlackBerry Messenger service has had some issues with the delivery of messages to some BlackBerry users. However, BlackBerry Messaging is one of the most feature packed services available on the BlackBerry platform and is worth the investment.

The phone also comes standard with Blackberry VoIP. BlackBerry VoIP works pretty well and offers a cost effective alternative to traditional phone lines. BlackBerry VoIP also offers high-quality sound quality and voice clarity. The voice clarity of VoIP depends on the quality of connection used, so this feature may not be for everyone.
