Kimberley Walsh
Kimberly was born in Southern Ireland. She moved to Britain when she was six years old and began performing at a very young age. Some of her earliest musical interests were influenced by the theater. Her stage acting career began when she was cast in the BBC play Hamlet opposite Christopher Reeve. She went on to appear in other successful British plays such as Good As It Gets and Angels In London.
Kimberley has gained worldwide recognition as an actress, singer, fashion model and dance artist. On being interviewed on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Kim stated that she was not yet ready to be an actress or a singer because she felt that both of these roles required so much skill and talent. She also cited her love of animals and the joy she got out of animal ownership. Kim was also quoted as saying that she had always wanted to be a teacher but never thought she would ever be able to teach while she was enjoying being an actress and singer.
At the age of twenty-two, Kimberley was cast as the young Victoria in the first film adaptation of Roald Dahl’s famous novel The Time And The Places. She went on to play several more different characters in the films including The Secrets of Sleeping Beauty, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and James Bond Girl. After the success of her breakout film, Kim began a period of steady development as a singer and actress. She went on to star in the musical Anything’s Garden and earned critical acclaim for her performance. After eighteen years of steadily appearing in movies, including a turn in the Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Kim finally found her own successful series of films where she starred alongside Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman and Edward Norton in 2021’s Edward Scissorhands.
