Nicholas Brendon is an American screenwriter and actor known best with his role as Sunnydale’s resident slayer, Professor Nicolas Brendon. Known for his intense acting skills as a vampire slayer, he has also been nominated three times for an Academy Award for his work on Twilight and other movies. He is most well known for playing Giles in the movie series Buffy the Vampire Slayer as well as Kevin Lynch in the spin-off series, Criminal Minds. His other credits are adaptations of the works of Lewis Carroll and J. Wes Watson.
A young boy named Nicholas was thrown into an alternative schooling called St. Nicholas School. The school was run by a man named Dracula, who claimed to be the only son of the God of vampires. Although most of the students fell for the vampire myth, they soon found out that it was not so easy to believe. Nicholas was soon dispelled from the school and left. Years later, he attended the prestigious academy called Sunnydale University, where he became a well-known academic. However, it was not long before he realized that the class he had joined was actually a group dedicated to hunting down and killing vampires.
In 1995, Nicholas went on to star as one of the main characters in the feature film, The Lost Boys. He portrayed Thomas Cromwell, a man suffering from a condition called dyslexia that left him mispronounced and suffering from stuttering. This aspect of the role made him quite memorable and the film became a favorite for many viewers. The success of The Lost Boys led Nicholas to future roles in other successful films including the remake of The Beverly Hills Franchise and the TV series Hawaii Five-O. His role as Stuttering John in the latter is probably his most well-known performance.

The role of Stuttering John took Nicholas Brendon several years to master and learn how to handle his strange condition. His talents as a performer were recognized when he was cast as one of the lead characters in the highly acclaimed Californian High. The show lasted for three seasons and won many awards, including outstanding comedy series at the 1996 Emmy Awards. His acting abilities were then seen on numerous television shows including the movie Invictus.
Once his acting career began to take off, Nicholas continued to gain prominence in his role as aiserk Technician 2 in the sci-fi series Angels Flight. The series lasted for five seasons and was one of the more interesting spin-off flicks from the successful Californian series. During the show’s sixth season, the role of Stuttering John was played by the same identical twin brother of Nicholas. Their relationship was like that of good friends and it worked very well for both actors.
So, after all of the action, what really happened between Nicholas and his identical twin brother? After leaving the hospital, after explaining to his father what had happened, Nicholas did not tell him everything. He left him with the understanding that his father would have to find some way to pay for his treatment and asked him to look for work. Nicholas then disappeared for the better part of a year and when his father found some money in his account, it enabled him to hire a private detective to find out more about his friend’s condition.
