Jason Bateman was born in Los Angeles, California. He is a veteran of television, who has been nominated three times for an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. He most recently became popular playing the character of David Strathairn in the movie adaptation of A Few Good Men. Jason Bateman was born as Jason Kent in Los Angeles. He was raised by his grandparents, which also served as his guidance counselor at school. Jason studied film at the California State University of Polytechnic. After leaving Seinfeld, Jason Bateman went onto play the father on the series Quantum Leap. This series, like everyone else on the network, lasted only one season before being cancelled. After the cancellation of Quantum Leap, Bateman began to hone his acting skills before he decided to try his hand at a different type of acting: playing a father on an American television show. As it is for all of Jason Bateman’s characters, the short-lived American sitcom Better Luck Tomorrow was not very successful.

After the failure of Quantum Leap, Bateman then decided to try his hand in a different type of comedy. He would star as a father on the long-running sitcom Seinfeld, which is widely considered to be one of the best sitcoms of all-time. After six seasons of hilarious and memorable comedy, Seinfeld was canceled after its sixth season.

After the conclusion of Seinfeld, Jason Bateman went onto star in several more successful and popular shows. Among the many series he appeared on were the daytime soap House, which lasted for five seasons, and The Perfect Score, which were one of the most lauded and acclaimed sitcoms of all-time. It was also in the late eighties that he began playing the character of Valerie on The Practice. However, it would be the success of The Firm that truly cemented Jason Bateman’s reputation as one of today’s most iconic and accomplished actors.
