Oded Fehr

Oded Fehr

Oded Fehr was born in Israel but raised in America. He is best known to audiences in America for his role as Ardeth Bay from the 1999 film The Mummy. In the movie, he plays the youngest member of the royal family, who goes on to become a powerful Egyptian mystic. However, his career didn’t start off in movies. He went on to play several different characters throughout his acting career, including on the television series 24. Oded Fehr was married to Karen Allen, who played his mother in 24, and they had two children.

In 2021, Oded Fehr was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his work in Egypt: The Prophecy. He previously had roles in films such as Casino, Gran Torino, and Spy. Then, he went on to star in the popular movie series The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. The movie franchise became known as one of the most successful films of all time, grossing over three-quarters of a billion dollars worldwide. Oded Fehr also received an Oscar nomination for his work in that film.

Oded Fehr’s other film projects include the animated films The Prince of Persia, The Pirates of the Caribbean, and finally, The Prophecy. Those are just some of the franchises he has had the opportunity to participate in. Oded Fehr had a two year stint on Broadway as a member of the cast of Rentacona, playing opposite David Strathairn. During his time on Broadway, Oded also appeared in other shows such as A Charlie Brown Christmas and You Don’t Mess with the Zohan.

One of Oded Fehr’s lesser known films is The mummy. This is the second film in the Men Who Stare franchise, following the excellent Egypt movie Men Who Stare at Goats. Like the first Men Who Stare, the movie concerns an ancient curse that killing off the main character. Instead of a quick fix, this version of the curse turns a man into a werewolf-like creature called the Deuce Monster, who then stalks around London.

This is actually the second part of the series, after the excellent opening episode of Men Who Stare at Goats, where the main character finds out that his dead wife was actually a vampire. Since then, though, the show has become much darker. It is not uncommon for Oded Fehr to direct three episodes a season. In his four episodes of The Prophecy, he directed four episodes. If you enjoy his acting, and are a fan of the Vampire Diaries and The Cape, then you will love this series.

One other actor from The Prophecy that we should mention is Noelle Helm, who plays the mother of one of the teenage girls in the midst of all this. Helm has great chemistry with Fehr, so much so that I would not be surprised if their characters ended up romantically involved. The teenage girl in The Prophecy is pregnant, so I wouldn’t be surprised if a child would arise from the scenes involving her and Oded Fehr. Their chemistry is strong, and Noelle Helm has definitely put on a great show during her time on the show.
