After a brief stint at the retail store, January went out and began a two-year stay in New York City as a dancer and model. While in New York she also started a career as a yoga instructor and then worked as a commercial real estate agent before landing a role on the television show Wheelman. Following the ending of the show, January Jones returned to her native southern state and worked for the remainder of her career in the entertainment industry, including guest spots on numerous shows including Star Trek: The Next Generation and E.T.
