Haylie Duff is an American professional singer/songwriter, actor, television presenter, singer/songwriter and fashion designer. She rose to fame as the voice of Baby by Aikido, one of the popular opening songs from the 1980s anime series. She later went on to have a successful career in the television business with numerous appearances on shows including 24, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Stargate: SG1 and a role in the movie Minority Report. Haylie Duff also had a supporting role in the award-winning feature The Pursuit of Happyness alongside Edward Kitscience. Haylie also appeared in the award-winning The Secret and guest-appeared on Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan.

Haylie Duff’s background is very varied. She began her career in the advertising industry working as a copywriter. Later on, she pursued several different acting roles and was cast in the lead role in the musical Finding Nemo, playing the role of Marlin while concurrently appearing in several other films.

In between those years, Haylie went through a turn as a successful stand up comedienne hosting her own show on MTV, titled “The Big Show.” The film producer, Robert Rodriguez, hired Haylie Duff to star in the live action series reboot of The Mask. The film ended up being a critical and commercial success, spawning three sequel movies. Haylie was also involved in the development of several TV shows, including one entitled Mom, which featured marionettes that parodying famous Disney characters. Haylie Duff still has not been able to reach the same level of stardom asotin she had during the latter years of her career, and is only now, after several years of retirement, making a return to the limelight.

Haylie Duff was born in Louisiana, the youngest of four children of Elvis and Rita Haylie Duff. Her mother was a talented vocalist and encouraged her little brother and sister to take up musical instrument lessons. By the time Haylie turned fourteen, she began a successful career in stand up comedy, doing impressions of several famous comedians. She appeared in various popular TV shows including Napoleon Dynamite, The Breakfast Club, and King of the Hill, and rose to prominence as a writer and performer on the long-running television program Mom.

Haylie’s love for children grew even stronger when she discovered the animated series King of the Hill when she was a teenager. She also became especially close to her younger sister, avionic, whom she refers to as her “snow queen.” Although Haylie is best known for her role as an actress and singer, she has also been involved in some prominent television, feature, and stage endeavors. She appeared in the 2006 movie Edward Scissorhands, as well as the 2007 romantic fantasy The Squid and the Whale.

Haylie is currently appearing in the second season of the hit television show Anonymous, in which she plays her own mother, Anna. In this role, she displays her distinctive onscreen talent for bringing the character to life. Her animated abilities make her a perfect candidate for this year’s Young Artist Award, and she would be an impressive choice for this year’s celebrity guest spot.
