Erika Elenik is an American stage and screen actress best known for her portrayal of Holly Golightly in Baywatch. Her first film appearance was a small role in E.T: The Extraterrestrial. She then appeared in the movies The Blob, Under Fire, and The Beverly Hills Billies. After her time on the big screen, she ventured into the world of publishing, writing, and editing her own novel. Her book was entitled The Scorpion’s Bite, which was made into a motion picture starring Drew Barrymore and Jeff Daniels. Since its release, her other novels have been more successful.

Today, Erika Eleniak resides in sunny Los Angeles, California, where she serves as a writer and editor. She has written for publications such as L Magazine, Redbook, and People. It was while living in Los Angeles that Eleniak became interested in acting, so much so that she even considered a career in stand-up comedy. Although she only ever performed in sketches, Eleniak managed to develop a persona that would eventually earn her several awards and accolades, including multiple Emmy Awards for her work on the television series Difficult People. In addition, she has also gained acknowledgment as one of the “gay most influential women” by Time Magazine.

In all, Erika Elenik is currently being billed as one of the best known and respected female comedians in Hollywood today. Her credits include an appearance on the popular sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, as well as appearances on numerous other television shows, including Scrubs, Californication, Frasier, Mom, among others. Her most recent release was the film Thank You, playing the characteristically intelligent, skeptical and slightly suspicious extra-terrestrial named Indyanna Daigle (Erika Elenik’s own name). The film was directed by Greg Garcia, who previously worked with Elenik on the sitcom Happy Days, among others. In addition, he produced the 2021 documentary The Secrets of Your Life, which chronicles the early years of her relationship with actor-comedian Jeff Dunham.

It must be noted that Erika Eleniak’s real name is Erika Ericka Erickow. In addition to her professional life on screen, Elenik has also spent some time as a teacher in several schools in both the United States and Canada. As a stand-up comic, Elenik has made guest appearances on several different television series, including Family Ties, Everybody Loves Raymond, Dogthe Restaurant, Spectacle at the Carousel, Brides and Others, The Firm, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Frasier, Cheers, One False Celebrity, Roseanne, roommates, and Friends, just to name a few. She has also appeared in several independent films, most notably the 2021 film Edward Scissorhands.

In terms of her acting career, Elenik has mostly appeared in television programs, apart from her brief turn as a major in a science-fiction film Clue. She most recently appeared in the television film Edward Scissorhands opposite Matt Damon, where she played the role of Rachel Mcadams, an alternate identity of the heroine held captive in a mental institution. Elenik’s other film credits include guest spots on Several, Good Morning, Good Night, Mending Hands, Rosemary’s Baby, Rosemary and Thyme, Mom, Dinner for Two, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, and Community. As a teacher, Elenik has also appeared on the television series Wisdom Bequeated and appeared in the 2021 movie Edward Scissorhands. In terms of her education, she began her tenure as a professor of communications at the University of Southern Illinois, before pursuing a position as a professor of English at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

A native of Chicago, Elenik is perhaps best known to fans of the television show Star Trek, as both Yeoman Tropeghold and Counselor Deanna Troi. She reprised her role as Yeoman Tropeghold in a later episode of Star Trek: The Original Series, appearing in “Bem” for the first time. Her other TV appearances included appearances on M.A.S.H., Family Guy, Smallville, Parks and Recreation, The X-Files, and an uncredited role in the British sitcom Dad’s Army. As of late, Elenik has been playing recurring roles in the British film Aquabear and has also appeared in a number of independent sci-fi horror films.
