Erika Alexander is an American screenwriter, producer, actress, author and activist most popular for her starring roles in the NBC sitcom The Cosby Show, as Pam Tucker on The NBC sitcom The Cosby Show and as Maxine Shaw in the FOX television sitcom Living Single. She has also been in some feature films such as The Pursuit of Happyness and It’s a Great Life. Recently, Alexander has developed her own children’s book entitled Raising Healthy Kids by focusing on the importance of diet and nutrition to kids. In this book, she shares how she discovered the importance of adopting healthy eating habits for her children. The book was made available in eBook format through Amazon.
As a congresswoman from Louisiana, Erika Alexander got to know better than most members of Congress how difficult it can be to get things done when there are disagreements between the different parties. So, she began to use the opportunity provided by the digital age to get her political views heard by the people. Her book was made available through an e-book CD and on DVD. It tells the story of how Alexander was able to overcome the odds and hurdles that came her way in order to become a congresswoman and a bi Congressional representative. The documentary film follows her journey from beginning to end.
This book and the documentary film are part of the “Crowley Show” collection, which is a fun read with a lot of humor and a good dose of politics. You will find all the common political fault lines that you would expect in any bi television show but it is Alexander’s humorous style that makes these scenes work. And her ability to remain calm in the face of hostile opponents is what makes this book a must have. The entire story is just about as entertaining as it was in the early seventies with the introduction of Maxine, the first African-American president, along with John Kennedy’s famous radio address on the same topic.
But there is also some more than just the typical political and celebrity conflict that we have come to expect in a media-driven show. The story takes a turn when the show’s main character returns home to find that his family has been drastically affected by the political turmoil going on in Washington D.C. His wife attempts to bring peace back to her husband’s life, but finds herself unable to cope with the mounting violence. The American actor and actresses best known for their recurring roles in television shows such as ERIC ANDREW NORTON, BARRYLANDS HOLLER and MATTHEW STINE join forces together for an interesting and thought provoking look at what America is really capable of achieving when its leaders don’t have the requisite character or personal qualities.

The second part of the book, which is the movie starring Brad Pitt as the main lead, revolves around the Indian American President Obama’s personal life. The Mahabharata plays a key role in this as well as the first book of the trilogy, where the character of Mahabharata travels back in time to see his own ancestors, before setting his eyes on Obama’s America. The story is a fascinating and thought provoking journey through the present American society. The writers maintain their critical viewpoints throughout the three books. The television film follows a similar formula, except that it adds a dose of hilarity here and there. The Mahabharata, like the other two books in the trilogy, is not without flaws, but the writers manage to give it a balanced view of a positive and optimistic future for America.
This is the perfect series to watch if you are new to American television dramas. While it may be a bit exaggerated in some aspects, it is a great example of how television can be used to tell an accurate version of a historical event or even a fictional one. Erika Alexander and Brad Pitt have given us a hilarious and touching depiction of an American President’s personal life, in a unique and enlightening manner. The writing style and the cinematography are top notch, making watching the show a consistently enjoyable experience. All in all, this is a must-watch show for those interested in American political history and entertainment.
