Elizabeth Gillies is a Scottish actress and dancer. She made her Broadway debut in the play 13, playing the role of Lucy in the play. She later appeared in The Black Door, opposite Peter Caputo, as the title role of Jade West. Elizabeth Gillies has also acted in movies such as Zoolander, Pretty Woman and Bridesmaids.
In order to get herself cast in a major Broadway play, Elizabeth Gillies would often travel all around the world to try out for the part. She had the distinct advantage of having been read for the lead role inosis by director Stanley Myers, who cast her in several different plays during his career. This gave her a wider base of experiences and more experience than other actors in Broadway. She also fell in love with the show and was eager to get herself known.
Elizabeth Gillies first recorded her voice for the Duet with Andrew Lloyd Webber for their Broadway musical, Anais Babouli. She was then known mainly as an actress in television shows such as Dukes of Hazard, Everybody Loves Raymond, F.R.I.E.N.D.S and Rosemary Clooney: On Broadway. After a break up with Grease star Danny Zuko, she decided to try her hand at singing and recording her own album, titled My Life With You.
A music video was then released showing Elizabeth Gillies and Daniella Cicarelli, better known as Beyonce Knowles and Beyenne Aguilera, performing a duet of songs entitled Beautiful Liar. The music video showed Elizabeth Gillies as the singer while Daniella Cicarelli, who is an Italian opera singer, was the one doing the vocals. The video was in English and the two serenaded each other. This was the start of a beautiful and successful career for Elizabeth Gillies. Her first music video posted on YouTube showed her doing a duet with Avril Lavigne and it went viral and became one of the best-selling videos of all time.

An additional music video was then posted for the song Belly, which was eventually covered by several other artists. A cover version of the song was also released, this time by Shakira. Several months later, Elizabeth Gillies was seen on American Idol, where she was the runner-up for the final spot. This lead to her becoming one of the biggest celebrities in India. The clip of her performance went viral and several of her songs were featured in other songs.
After a few years of good shows on both American Idol and The Big Screen, the series ended its run. However, some shows have been made into movies and the cast has gone on to star in several more popular films and TV shows. In addition, Elizabeth had a cameo in one episode of Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. Now, with the release of the reboot of Star Trek, she could once again be an integral part of that series. Gillies has since appeared in a couple of other Star Trek movies, as well as being cast as a member of Broadway’s cast of revival productions.
