Meghan Trainor is a professional singer, songwriter and talent manager. She rose to fame after signing to Epic Records after appearing on pop radio shows as a guest artist. Following her short stint on pop radio, she signed to Interscope Records where she released several singles and albums including “Tears For Me”. After breaking through with a successful career on pop radio, Meghan began to develop a reputation as a songwriter, composer and performer. She has worked with a wide range of artists including Britney Spears, Elton John, David Bowie and Nirvana.

 

Meghan’s musical interests have spanned across a broad spectrum. Meghan has also dabbled in writing for television, movies and theatre. Meghan Trainor’s song” Steal Me” was featured on the soundtrack to the film, 300. Meghan has also written music for films such as the Harry Potter movie, The Chronicles of Narnia and Spiderman: The Chronicles of Spiderman.

 

Meghan Trainor has won multiple awards for her songs and music performance throughout her lifetime. She has been named by Time Magazine as one of the “rities” that should be known by everyone. Meghan has been a strong advocate for writers and musicians and regularly uses writing conventions to promote her career. Meghan has given writing and performance programs to schools and other organizations for kids as well as speaking at writing conferences and taught songwriting workshops.

 

Meghan Trainor was born in Southern California and has spent much of her younger years living and working in Los Angeles. She has contributed music and lyrics to many popular songs and albums including: “Your Best Year”, “Whirly Dinks”, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, “Mystery Train”, “Cantonese”, “Hail To The Man That Loved Me” and “You Are My Sunshine”. Her latest album “The Bakers Tale” was released in December of 2021. Meghan Trainor’s live performances have taken place all around the world and she was the lead vocalist and guitar player in the musical group Dream Theater.

 

Meghan Trainor was inspired by many singers and writers including Waltz, Ella Fitzgerald, Jackie Kennedy, Janis Joplin, Joan Rivers, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Patti LaBelle, Eddie Van Halen, Eddie Van Zandt, Amy Waterman, Nancy Sinatra and Joe Perry. Meghan wrote songs that were inspired by various American singers and writers including: Amy Waterman, Eddie Van Halen, Nancy Sinatra, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, John Denver, Chicano Garbage, Van Morrison, George Jones, Pat Boone, Sam Snead, Johnny Jenkins, Amy Grant, Diana Ross, Ann-Margaret, Lee Strasberg, Dorsey Brothers, Gloria Vanderbilt and many others. Meghan also has written several screenplays which have been optioned by different producers. Her first script was titled “Dear John” which was written by her brother Michael. She wrote “The Heart Song” for actress Robin Williams, who was nominated for an Academy Award for “Best Original Screenplay”.

 

Meghan Trainor’s debut single bass CD “Love Takes Wing” was released in April of 2021. This CD included a music video for her song “Love Takes Wing”. Meghan’s debut single bass CD “Love Takes Wing” was certified platinum in the United Kingdom by the RIAA in just under three months. Meghan has also opened for numerous other well-known recording artists including J.Lo, Ashanti, Akon, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Macy Gray, Ashanti, Akon, Rihanna, Macy Gray and Jack White.
