Bridget Moynahan was an American fashion model and actress. She is best known for her appearance as Erin Reagan on the television series Blue Bloods. She graduated from Longmeadow High School in Massachusetts in 1990 and soon began pursuing a modeling career.
Bridget began attending Binghamton University in New York City. Bridget became interested in acting after seeing an open mic night at the Uptown Palace. She also enjoyed the poetry of Edith Grossman. After graduating, she continued to pursue an education at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, and studied acting with such Hollywood heavyweights as Lee Strasberg, Richard Castellano, Frank Capra, Edith Scolding, and John Vernon.
Bridget started appearing on various television shows, including The Sopranos and Everybody Loves Raymond. She also appeared in the movie Chicago, opposite John Leguizamo. Bridget didn’t get the chance to work with big names, like she had hoped, but her acting skills made her well-known and respected. In addition to acting, Bridget was also a singer and songwriter. She had a steady career as a singer/songwriter and even wrote some songs for famous lyricist Ginsberg & Palmer.
Bridget became popular in the world of entertainment after appearing in several movies. She appeared in a number of popular films, including Everybody Loves Raymond, Here, There, and Everybody Loves Someone and American Pie. She also had small parts in other movies, including The Pursuit of Happyness (with Bela Lugosi), Scarface (also with Bela Lugosi), and Confessions of an Unfaithful Virgin. After a string of small roles in movies, Bridget finally appeared in a big Hollywood blockbuster, Eat Pray Love opposite Goldie Hawn. Bridget played the lead role of the movie’s heroine, a woman who falls in love with a man she meets on a blind date, but he soon falls out of love with her.
Bridget Moynahan has also gone on to play the lead role in a number of Irish American television shows. She played the first and only Irish American wife in ER. After playing the wife in ER, Bridget appeared in three more episodes of ER as a therapist. Since then, she has appeared in Orphan Ship, Raising Helen, and Defiance, among many other popular American television programs.
Bridget is not the only famous Irish American to have a series regular role on a popular television show in America. Jennifer Aniston, Meryl Streep, Roseanne Barr, Edie Falco, and actresses Amy Adams, and Liv Tyler have also had their careers peak in the past few years. While it is difficult to predict what Bridget would be able to do next, given that she has established herself as a strong character actress, it is clear that she has the potential to be a very successful actress in the future. She is already signed up for several more projects including a role on the new season of Dancing with the Stars, and is expected to star alongside both Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jason Priestley in the upcoming X-Files movie. If anything, Bridget’s extensive resume, coupled with her impressive acting prowess, will make it easy for her to continue building her name recognition.
