Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert is a legend in his own right. He has been nominated for Grammys six times and has been a guest on several other shows. Much of his fame has stemmed from his association with some of pop’s biggest and best-known groups. He has covered songs by everyone from Aerosmith to Guns N Roses and The Rolling Stones.

Adam Lambert is most well-known for his high-pitched, shouting tone that he employs in most of his singing. His rendition of hits from the seventies and eighties by the likes of Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith and U2 earned him widespread praise from the major music award shows. A fan of rock music, Adam set his sights on a solo career after leaving Aerosmith in 2021. After releasing one single as a solo artist, “I’m a Believer”, he signed to Island and recorded several more singles including “Wanted Dead or Alive”, “Save a Little Life” and “American Animal” with former Spice Girl Melanie Brown. However, it was “Wanted Dead Or Alive” that catapulted him to stardom status and made him a star in his own right.

In keeping with the theme of whataya want, Adam Lambert chose a name that would be synonymous with his sound. He named his debut album The Wild Ones, which describes his vocal style and instrumentation. On the front of the album, there are graphics of an injured lamb through the eyes of a wildebeest. The opening song on the album, called “The Ballad ofamon”, takes its name from the poem by Scottish poet John Boyne. The second verse of the song includes the lyrics, “The wild one’s eyes/The same as a swan’s eye.”

After “The Wild Ones”, which featured Adam Lambert on vocals, came the fourteenth studio album by American Idol, titled Take It Easy. While the title may sound like an American Idol contestant’s winning song, Take It Easy actually contains much of the content of the original. However, instead of American Idols, it features songs written by Adam Lambert. In the midst of fifty minutes of unrelenting country and western tunes, there’s no telling what direction Lambert will take his next musical direction. The album’s lead single is “Give Me the Reason”, featuring Lambert and his former Spice Girl Melanie Brown.

If American Idol is any indication of where Adam Lambert’s music could go, it’s safe to say that we may very well see some more of Adam Lambert in 2021. A duet with The Black Eyed Peas, which features their hits “I Want To Hold Your Hand”, and “Hooked On A Dope”, proves that the American singer is not alone in the band anymore. Whether or not he continues to collaborate with his former Spice Girl Melanie Brown remains to be seen. Whatever he does though, Lambert has proven that his fan base is vast, and they are waiting for his comeback.

As American Idol continues to grow in popularity, many musical acts will try to break into the mainstream. One band that may join this contingent is Adam Lambert. Already popular as a tenor singer, he may use his vocal talents to bring a unique sound to a genre that is already overcrowded. As he expands upon his tenor vocals, the possibilities for American Idol are only limited by Lambert’s imagination. While it’s hard to imagine Lambert leaving his spot as a front man for another artist, as he has done with The Black Eyed Peas, it seems likely that he will still find himself singing and performing in the years to come.
